Investigation on energy dissipation mechanism in a double-suction centrifugal pump based on Rortex and enstrophy

Since double-suction centrifugal pumps consume quantities of energy, revealing critical factors for energy dissipation is helpful energy-saving design. This study aims to investigate the relationship between and vortex based on Rortex method in a pump. Detached eddy simulation was applied obtain flow field.
